Antony Burkhard

Antony Burkhard, born in 1997, received his first clarinet lessons at the Delémont Music School with Simon Stettler. After completing his music baccalaureate in Porrentruy, he moved to Zurich to continue his education at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).

There he studied under the guidance of Prof. Mathias Müller and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a Master in Music Education and a Master in Music Performance majoring in clarinet at the same school.

Mr. Burkhard is a prize winner of several competitions, including the International Competition for Wind Instruments in Serbia (2016) and the "Kiwanis Competition" at ZHdK (2017). His orchestral experience includes engagements in the Klezmer band Otrava, Zuzüger in the Zurich Opera House, Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra (SJSO), Various concerts with the wind quintet Motus Ensemble and Harmonie Schostakovich (Jura).

In 2019, he participated in "Music at the Pavillon le Corbusier" with the Mothus Ensemble and the dancer Sophie Bertschy. In the same year, he also plays the "Quatuor pour la fin du temps" by Messaien in the same series. Since 2022 he has a permanent position as clarinet teacher at the MKZ Musikschule Konservatorium Zürich.
